5 Western New York Wedding Venues: Rustic, Elegant & Waterfront Options

western New York wedding venues

Western New York is the best part of New York to get married in, and we’ll fight anyone who disagrees.

Ok, we won’t actually fight anyone over that.

We’re law-abiding citizens, and we don’t want criminal charges on our records.

We do fully stand by that statement, though, and once you see some of the Western New York wedding venues we’re going to be listing here, you’ll undoubtedly think the same.

After all, New York City is great, but when it comes to getting married, that’s not necessarily the part of The Empire State you want to do it in.

Note: These are not ranked in any particular order.

1. Manor House (Pierrepont Manor)

Few venues have a credible claim to being legitimate historical landmarks and pieces of American history, but we make that claim proudly.

Initially built in 1826 (nearly 40 years before the Civil War!), Manor House is part of a complex of historic buildings that have been around for a few months shy of 200 years.

And did we mention that this very same complex has been officially listed on the US Register of Historic Places since 1977?

We bet you weren’t even born yet.

Think about that, this place was already a historic landmark before you even opened your eyes for the first time.

Anyway, we really love that we get to carry on this legacy, and it’s not hard to imagine that, if you want to build something that stands the test of time (your marriage), it makes a lot of sense to start in a place that already has.

Bonus: Our all-inclusive wedding packages are among the most affordable in the area, so you don’t need to break the bank to have a dreamy wedding.

2. Graceful Gatherings at Ledgerock (Varysburg)

With 120 acres of pristine country all to itself, Ledgerock is a wonderland that feels both tucked away and secretive, yet also within a reasonable distance of civilization.

And within this wonderland, you’ll find various natural features, such as lush meadows, tranquil ponds, and even a private waterfall that you can access.

And with the property centered around their restored century-old barn, Ledgerock stands alongside our own beloved Manor House as one of the most charmingly rustic (we know that word is cliché) and historic of all Western New York wedding venues

3. Ventosa Vineyards (Geneva)

“Vineyard” isn’t just part of their name.

Ventosa is actually a very real, working vineyard that produces high-quality local wine.

So you can expect to get all the same benefits and experiences that you’d get at a winery, but while also getting the heartstopping views of Seneca Lake during sunset.

And if you’re an architecture or culture nerd, you might enjoy the fact that the exterior design of the vineyard is inspired by Tuscany (and so is their on-site restaurant).

Yep, if you want to feel like you’re in Italy without actually having to transport yourself and all your guests there, then this might be the place.

Pro Tip: If you want to go to Italy so bad, save that money so you can honeymoon there after the wedding. 😉

4. The Cracker Factory (Geneva)

A fun name for a fun place.

Formerly a cutlery and furniture factory, the Cracker Factory is now one of the most eccentric and desirable of Western New York wedding venues.

We’re not entirely sure why it’s called the Cracker Factory or if that’s what it’s always been named, but we know people like it, and you can probably get the story from the owners if you contact them.

Whatever the story is, it’s probably interesting.

As for the modern venue, it’s tops if you want a more industrial, turn-of-the-century vibe.

And we happen to absolutely love how the large windows in the ceremony space flood the room with warm, natural light during the daytime.

5. Kloc’s Grove (Buffalo)

Buffalo honestly isn’t known for a whole lot these days, but it’s still a great town!

And within that town (or technically on the outskirts of it) is Kloc’s Grove, one of the best darn all-inclusive wedding venues in the region.

The parts we really can’t get over are their garden pavilion and grand ballroom.

Wow, just wow.

Of course, the garden pavilion is seasonal and not open year-round.

New York winters aren’t known for being all that warm, after all.

So, you’ll want to ask about that when you contact them to inquire about tours and reservations.

We’re All Real People

And just like that, we’ve run out of space.

We can only make these posts so long, unfortunately.

So, while we’d like to continue going on and on about even more Western New York wedding venues for you to research and contact, we’ll have to leave it here.

But there’s no need for you to worry, because most (but not all) of them have websites and reviews online.

And if you’re really curious, you can always reach out to us for more advice.

There’s no pressure, and we’re not going to try to put the screws to you.

You may ultimately decide that you want to get married somewhere else instead of at Manor House, and that’s ok.

But we still want to help in any way we can to ensure that your wedding will be the tenderest and most cherished of memories for you to treasure all the rest of your days. ♥️
